The 'E' in STEM is about using the Engineering Design Process (EDP) to solve problems.
Show students how to use the EDP to innovate a solution using consensus and collaboration. This hands-on workshop addressed all eight of the science and engineering practices (SEP) embedded in  the NGSS performance expectations.

About Heather Wilde
Heather is the Implementation Specialist for Accelerate Learning Inc. She earned her degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University and is a native Houstonian.  Heather taught science to elementary students as a classroom teacher and campus coordinator for ten years.  She now has the privilege of travelling across the United States working with teachers and administrators in STEMscopes as well as leading STEMcoach trainers in implementation training. Whenever she gets a chance, Heather loves to escape to the lake in East Texas and relax by the water.
