Phenomena engage students by igniting their curiosity! In this hands-on workshop, participants will experience examples of fun and easy-to-use discrepant events they can use to anchor their science lessons. Activities will be linked to the state and national standards.

About Dr. Ron Hughes

Dr. Hughes has been engaged in science education for over 35 years.  He has a Masters (CSU, Bakersfield) and PhD (Kansas State University) in Curriculum and Instruction - Science and Technology Emphasis.  Although retired, he currently teaches Biology at CSU, Bakersfield.
