About Annie Ransom

Annie Ransom earned a B.S. in Biopsychology with minors in Biochemistry and Exercise Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara.  She earned a single subject teaching credential in Chemistry and Biology from California Lutheran University in 2007 and a Masters in Teaching from National University in 2008. Annie taught AP and IB Chemistry, college prep chemistry, and biology at Rio Mesa High School for five years and one year of chemistry at St. Bonaventure High School prior to her current position working as the science coach at University Prep Charter School in Camarillo where she coordinates the science education program for all K-8 students. In this role, Annie helps develop curriculum and provides support and coaching to the regular education teachers. She is proud of the strong science program at UPS which they have worked together to build in the the last few years.

Annie greatly enjoys sharing her experience with others. She is a co-founder of the CSU STEMposium which kicked off last summer with a one week professional development for K-8 teachers focused on STEM education and NGSS implementation.
